Ithaca Dragonboat Club

Even though we have reached the height of Summer in Ithaca, the 2009 season has plenty of time left! We had our season-opener kick-off session on Saturday, May 2nd at our docking area at Cass Park, and our Finger Lakes festival on July 11th.

Don't feel that it is too late to join us, however. There is lots of good weather left. This year we are running both a Competitive and a Recreational Division.

What if I missed opening day or the Festival?

Don't worry if you missed the season opener or our International Festival. There will be a training session at the beginning of each gathering to get us all off on the right "stroke."

This has been and will continue to be a great season! We are looking forward to seeing many new members! There are new boat covers, a new shed and some new equipment to go along with it! We look forward to seeing you on the water!

Practice Schedule

• Monday and Wednesday 6-8pm
• Sat 10am-12pm

• Meet at the dock next to the Cass Park rink and swimming pool.

What to Bring

• Water to drink
• Workout clothes that can get splashed on — and that will keep you comfortable paddling a canoe on the lake for 2 hours.
• Paddle, lifejacket, and boat are provided. If you have your own lifejacket, please feel free to bring it.
